A key strategy in working with schools, colleges and organisations which develop others is the Learning Value Audit. The LVA involves our team assessing the nature and quality of learning in your school, college or organisation.
We agree criteria and metrics beforehand. Then, through observation and interview, we provide objective judgments on the nature of your provision.
We have been working in partnership with Shelfield Academy, Walsall to improve the quality of learning and teaching. The training partnership includes:
"Alite helped give us a clear focus on what we have to do to achieve consistently outstanding learning and teaching in the academy. We have just achieved an "outstanding "grade in our first Ofsted and are aiming to move "beyond outstanding".
Phillip Smith, Assistant Headteacher, Shelfield Community Academy, Walsall.
We have also had successes using the LVA approach with other schools.
"Since working with Alite there has been a shift in culture among staff and students with learning to the fore. The engagement and motivation of students has risen across the academy"
David Terry, Principal, Sutton Academy, St Helens.
"The Learning Value Audit certainly made us look at ourselves as a school and where we wanted to be as far learning and teaching is concerned. Many of the ideas and the development process were immediately incorporated into our new School Development Plan. Our staff development is very much focused on building staff skills and expertise in these ten areas"
Helen Heap, Headteacher, Highfields Primary School, Rowley Regis
